 CMIA LA-Chapter invites you and/or your colleagues to the Ortho HS Medical Device & Sales project presentation showcase. They are genuinely trying to introduce students to careers in Biotech that they would never have considered otherwise. Industry support is important.
Orthopaedic Hospital Medical Magnet High School’ Biotech Pathway is seeking professionals in the Medical Device and Sales sector to volunteer to judge projects with a Medical Device theme at an upcoming Presentation Showcase on Thursday, March 22nd.
Event Description:
11th-grade students will be presenting in groups (gallery style) in classrooms, playing the role of a medical device salesperson, where they will be explaining/pitching the benefits and specs of different medical centrifuges. This is a Biotech industry integrated project aligned with the physics content of centrifugal force in the 11th-grade Physics’ classes.

Thursday, March 22nd
8:15 a.m. – 10:15 a.m.
10:45 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
1:15 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Industry Volunteer Need:
They are seeking project evaluators preferably from medical device and sales fields to provide authentic industry feedback on the student groups’ sales techniques and centrifuge content knowledge. Scoring rubrics will be provided.
