Simi Valley Hospital is looking for an individual that is motivated and willing to provide high quality service on a wide variety of medical equipment. As a Biomedical Service Technician you will perform inspections, preventive maintenance and repairs on a variety of items including ESUs, Defibrillators, Infusion Pumps, SCDs and much more. You will be part of the Adventist Health Clinical Engineering Team at Simi Valley Hospital, Simi Valley, Ca. This is a temporary position (approximately one year) that may lead to permanent status before or at that time.

Biomedical Equipment Support Specialist (BESS)
The San Francisco Veteran’s Hospital, is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Support Specialist (BESS) (GS-1601 Series Grade 11) for its Biomedical Engineering Department. The incumbent is responsible for providing the safe and reliable operation of medical equipment and systems used for the diagnosis and treatment of patients which includes system support for a wide variety of highly sophisticated and complex biomedical equipment. Incumbent will perform and document all repairs and preventive maintenance activities and ensure the data is entered correctly. Incumbent will serve as a project leader for installation of equipment that he/she supports.

QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, calibrate and repair biomedical instrumentation and electronic systems. Practical and theoretical knowledge of biomedical support systems. Knowledge of medical terminology as it relates to the operation of medical equipment. Ability to provide preventive maintenance of complex medical equipment. As a Biomedical Service Technician you will perform inspections, preventive maintenance and repairs on a variety of respiratory related equipment. You will work out of our Santa Fe Springs location and travel to various Los Angeles area locations

EDUCATION: A minimum of an Associates Degree in Electronics, Biomedical Equipment Technology or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE: Has a minimum of three years experience in performing operational verifications, preventive maintenance and repairs on a variety of respiratory equipment, especially ventilators.

CORE COMPETENCIES: Is highly skilled in the use of test equipment and hand tools. Reads and understands schematics and service manuals. Has attended service courses and seminars on the maintenance of several models of ventilators. Has great troubleshooting skills. Works very well alone

Clinical Systems Engineer
Kaiser Permanente, is seeking a Clinical Systems Engineer to report to the Manager of Clinical System Engineering. The position provides centralized, regional strategic planning and standards for the adoption, integration, deployment, maintenance/support and retirement of medical technologies and asociated processes. Includes tracking of clinical systems, coordinating security management, and identifying and mitigating risks associated with the networked/integrated medical systems. Requires extensive coordination/collaboration in a complex environment with a wide-variety of stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience in Clinical Technology or health related field. Significant (usually 5+ years) of work experience in a clinical setting. At least 2 years of hands-on operational experience working in technology delivery. 2-4 years in a leadership/managerial role for hospital and/or medical office buildings.

Extensive knowledge of organizational development, team management, and technical, medical and financial subjects. In-depth knowledge of operational properties and diverse functions of at least two medical technology modalities, cross-functional commonalities and related clinical practices. Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary consulting team environment, to lead inter-disciplinary teams and to manage complex projects from inception through activation. Proficiency in spreadsheet and database management software. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master's Degree preferred. Certification as a Clinical Engineer or Professional Engineer (PE) preferred. Experience with connectivity/interoperability of Clinical systems preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: · A.A.S. in Medical Equipment Technology, AAMI Certification, and/or graduate of DoD Medical Equipment Repairers Course. · Minimum of four years’ directly related experience in the biomedical field. · Ability to obtain and maintain an applicable security clearance.

SUMMARY OF POSITION: The ideal team member will have extensive hospital biomedical backgound or field service engineering from an OEM or a third party service provider.  The Field Service Engineer will be primarily responsible for diagnosing and repairing customer equipment.

SUMMARY OF POSITION: We are currently seeking an experienced Sales Director with a minimum of three years in business development and sales management. The ideal person will manage and coordinate the activities of our internal sales force. This person will be primarily responsible for business development, sales staff development and the continuous growth of this business unit.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Responsible for the development and management of key customer relationships. • Generate business development efforts and further market penetration for our parts and system sales business unit. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: BS degree with an emphasis in marketing preferred.

SPECIAL SKILLS: Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.

Primarily responsible for customer satisfaction, quotes and follow through • Establishes rapport and professional relations with all business units of the company. • Develop metrics and programs of accountability in monitoring field service efficiency levels. • Ensure compliance within corporate standards of timely invoicing and exchange tracking. • Monitor Field Service Business Unit revenue growth and profit margins. • Ongoing review of P&L including activity levels to ensure adequate staffing. • Schedules team briefings to promote effective communications and employee feedback. • Maintains employee records and ensures performance reviews are conducted as scheduled. • Maintains best practices to ensure all field service personnel are adequately trained to ensure excellent customer service. • Has excellent problem research and solving skills.
