Senior Program Coordinator (Multiple Site Biomed Manager)
GE Healthcare is seeking a Senior Program Coordinator (Multiple Site Biomed Manager) in San Diego, CA. In this role, the Senior Program Coordinator will supervise assigned personnel daily at specific accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and Service Excellence per contract. May do minimal technical service work.
Responsibilities include:
* Knowledge of customer contracts to ensure obligations are met. Prioritize service, assign personnel and follow up on commitments. Assist the Director of Service with employee appraisals, status changes, promotions and disciplinary actions. Carry pager for service call escalation.
*Responsible for customer relationship at assigned sites. Assure service quality via frequent customer contact and formal quality reviews. Represent hospital in regulatory agency inspections and sit on hospital safety and equipment selection committee.
*Track and analyze financial performance with the Director of Service. Recommend equipment, parts and supplies. Implement procedures to provide quality, cost effective service. Responsible for prompt and accurate filing of expense, time and service reports, accounts payable and billing.
*Infrequently resolve issues with biomedical equipment; perform planned maintenance (PM), safety or environmental inspections adhering to GE policies, hospital procedures with required documentation.
* May be responsible for maintaining approved parts inventory, managing vendor service delivery processes in compliance with GE policies; guaranteeing team takes proper care of spares, tools and test equipment and ensures calibration.
* Maintain technical knowledge of current standards for safe, effective use of medical equipment through instruction. Provide instruction to hospital / Biomedical personnel on equipment operation, diagnostics, and safe effective use and repair.
* Meet Health and Human Services, as well as Environment Health and Safety requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* A.S. Degree in Business Administration, Management, or has related field or equivalent experience.
* Five years progressive team leadership experience - supervising and coaching technical personnel, as well as effectively resolving customer relations issues.
* Qualified experience in a customer service environment with resulting knowledge of customer account coordination.
* Previous experience managing financial and administrative requirements of the position.
* Ability to travel outside of assigned region.
* Willing to submit to a background investigation, including for example, verification of past employment, criminal history and educational background.
* Willing to take a drug test.
* Must be eligible to be legally authorized to work in the United States.
* Willing to work out of an office located in San Diego, CA.
* Must have a valid driver's license.

Biomedical Technician (BMET)
Universal Hospital Services, Inc. is seeking a Biomedical Technician (BMET) to evaluate, diagnose, perform repair and planned maintenance (PM) biomedical equipment and drive customer satisfaction through Service Excellence. The BMET insures proper and safe operation of medical equipment. An important part of this work is the documentation of work performed to ensure the highest standards of safety and efficiency. This includes, but is not limited to electronic patient and non-patient equipment used in the patient care area, electronic equipment designed for diagnostic, therapeutic, and laboratory applications.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Participates in establishing, maintaining, and adhering to UHS policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety standards, customer service, environmental and infection control
• Willingness to work at customer sites such as hospitals and clinics.
• Performs and documents repairs, calibrations, inspections and installations of medical equipment and systems in a customer centered manner, and in accordance with procedures to comply with the standards and recommendations of any and all authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ's)

• Demonstrates ability to concentrate on own work and does so without interfering with others
• Collaborates with fellow BioMed staff; communicates frequently in order to insure the department as a whole is kept up to date on biomedical equipment support related problems
• Requisitions supplies and materials as needed; properly stocks parts and maintains inventory
• Uses appropriate cleaning/infection control precautions and procedures at all times
Qualifications/Requirements
• Associates degree in biomedical equipment technology or electronics or equivalent training and experience required
• 3+ years industry experience or 2+ years of industry/military experience with certification preferred.
• Certification by the CBET preferred.
• Working familiarity with JCAHO accreditation standards preferred
• May be required to lift weights of up to 75lbs and carry equipment
• May be exposed to disagreeable environmental conditions, including dirt, noise, cramped working spaces and areas/tasks where caution must be exercised to insure safety.

Area Clinical Technical Manager
Kaiser Permanente, is seeking a Area Clinical Technical Manager for its Santa Clara/ San Jose Service Area. This position administers Area-wide comprehensive and cost effective maintenance service program for all of the medical devices and associated systems and interconnectivity of those systems. Aligning work with the Clinical Technology Plan implementations and the Capital Projects Teams when applicable to ensure that new technologies are delivered on time, on budget, and meet the technical and operational specs that have been defined. This also involved communicating key deliverable dates, milestones and interdependencies. Clinical Technology related operational activities and serving as point of escalation when the support model is not functioning appropriately as well as serving as the Clinical Technology single point of contact to meet area priorities.
Education/License/Certification: BA degree or certification in Business, Biomedical, Clinical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent required. (MBA, Health Administration). Preferred Qualifications: Masters degree preferred. Professional certification as a Certified Clinical Engineer preferred.
Qualifications: Minimum of 5-8 years experience in a Clinical Technology environment in a leadership/managerial role for hospital and medical office buildings. Extensive knowledge of Biomedical (Clinical Technology?) devices and systems that tightly integrate with clinical systems. Excellent working knowledge of Federal, State and local laws and regulations. Working knowledge of OSHPD (In CA) and similar regulatory agencies practices / policies / procedures in other states.

Clinical Technology Service Manager

Minimum of 2 years of bench/operational experience working in technology delivery and 2-4 years in a hospital and or medical offices leadership/managerial role. Extensive knowledge of modality specific devices (e.g., medical imaging devices, e.g., X-ray, fluoroscopy, CT, MRI, nuclear medicine, and ultrasound and related integrated medical systems, i.e., PACS.) Excellent working knowledge of electrical safety in a patient care environment. Familiarity with JCAHO standards, and Federal, State (i.e., Title 17) and local laws/regulations applicable to medical devices in health care environments. Familiarity with modality specific safety practices (e.g., radiation protection principles and safety practices). Functional understanding of other biomedical modalities and how they fit in Healthcare delivery. Knowledge of current and emerging clinical technologies. A functional knowledge of service contract structure and vendor negotiations. Demonstrated ability to manage a widely (geographically) distributed large technical workforce (20 plus) in a Union shop.

Education/License/Certification: Must possess and maintain a valid California Drivers License. Two year AA/AS degree in Biomedical Technology or equivalent education and experience.

Biomedical Equipment Technician II
Contra Costa Health Services is recruiting to fill a vacant Biomedical Equipment Technician II position located at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center , in Martinez, California. The Biomedical Tech II installs, repairs, calibrates, and performs preventive maintenance on medical equipment used in the diagnostic and/or therapeutic delivery of patient care. The Biomedical Tech II works closely with internal care departments to plan and coordinate projects related to key medical equipment, maintains an electronic equipment inventory, a parts inventory, and ensures proper work order documentation.
The successful candidate will have knowledge of the principles of biomedical equipment repair and maintenance and the types and functions of test equipment used. The candidate must be knowledgeable at reading and analyzing schematic diagrams, possess a working knowledge of electrical and electronic fundamentals, be familiar with PC repair and computer operating systems, have an understanding of medical terminology and an understanding of human anatomy and physiology. The candidate must also be familiar with JCAHO standards related to the Environment of Care.
Certified Biomedical Technicians are preferred but in any event, within 12 months of employment, an appointee must pass an Review and maintain certification as a Biomedical Equipment Technician issued by the International Certification Commission.
Experience: Four (4) years of full-time or equivalent experience in installation, repair and maintenance of biomedical equipment or the manufacturing of health care related equipment.
Substitution for Experience: Any one of the following options may substitute for the two (2) years of qualifying experience: 1) An Associate’s degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology from an accredited college; 2) An Associate’s degree in Electronics Technology or related technical field from an accredited college plus one (1) year of qualifying experience; 3) Successful completion of a one (1) year course of instruction in Electronics Technology or related technical field from an Armed Forces training program plus one (1) year of qualifying experience.

Radiology Equipment Specialist
The BioMed Engineering Department of Saint Agnes Medical Center, in Fresno, California
has an excellent opportunity available for an Equipment Specialist to be responsible for providing safe, reliable, accurate and cost-effective electronic instrumentation and to assist the medical staff in the care and operation of these devices.
To qualify, you should have 4 years of comparable electronic experience, preferably with radiological medical equipment, knowledge of mechanical analog and digital electronics and the ability to read and understand service manuals and schematics. Familiarity with imaging, radiation therapeutic devices and diagnostic medical equipment is a must. A Bachelor's degree in Electronics and certification as a Radiological Equipment Specialist are preferred.

Clinical Systems Engineer
Kaiser Permanente, is seeking a Clinical Systems Engineer to report to the Manager of Clinical System Engineering. The position provides centralized, regional strategic planning and standards for the adoption, integration, deployment, maintenance/support and retirement of medical technologies and asociated processes. Includes tracking of clinical systems, coordinating security management, and identifying and mitigating risks associated with the networked/integrated medical systems. Requires extensive coordination/collaboration in a complex environment with a wide-variety of stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience in Clinical Technology or health related field. Significant (usually 5+ years) of work experience in a clinical setting. At least 2 years of hands-on operational experience working in technology delivery. 2-4 years in a leadership/managerial role for hospital and/or medical office buildings.
Extensive knowledge of organizational development, team management, and technical, medical and
financial subjects. In-depth knowledge of operational properties and diverse functions of at least two medical technology modalities, cross-functional commonalities and related clinical practices. Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary consulting team environment, to lead inter-disciplinary teams and to manage complex projects from inception through activation. Proficiency in spreadsheet and database management software. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master's Degree preferred. Certification as a Clinical Engineer or Professional Engineer (PE) preferred. Experience with connectivity/interoperability of Clinical systems preferred.

Biomed Field Service Technician
SRC Medical, is looking for an individual that is motivated by providing high quality service on critical care equipment. As a Biomed Service Technician you will perform inspections, preventive maintenance and repairs on a variety of respiratory related equipment for customers throughout the Los Angeles area.
EDUCATION: A minimum of an Associates Degree in Electronics, Biomedical
Equipment Technology or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE: Has a minimum of three years experience in performing
operational verifications, preventive maintenance and repairs on a variety of respiratory equipment, especially ventilators.
CORE COMPETENCIES: Is highly skilled in the use of test equipment and hand tools. Reads and understands schematics and service manuals. Has attended service courses and seminars on the maintenance of several models of ventilators. Has great troubleshooting skills. Works very well alone.
SPECIAL COMPETENCIES: Must have good interpersonal and communication skills. Is very detailed and organized. . Factory service training on Puritan Bennett 840, Siemens Servoi and/or Viasys Avea ventilators is a definite plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Work is predominantly performed at our Santa Fe
Springs Service Center. However, a valid California Class C drivers license is required as there may be occasional travel. Must be able to lift and carry 75 lbs. Presents a very professional image.
