I have heard Pat present on this subject at AAMI meetings and am honored to have him travel all the way from South Carolina to present this program for us. “Golden Nuggets” refers to bits of wisdom and best practices which are discovered in the most unexpected places. All Biomeds have their own Golden Nuggets. Collecting and sharing Golden Nuggets from all over the United States has been a hobby of mine for many years. I take credit for none of them, as they all have their origin in a good idea that I witnessed, observed or stole from somebody else. I cannot give credit for most of them, because I have forgotten where they came from. But I present them in a sincere attempt to increase everybody’s efficiency and effectiveness by sharing the best of the best. And if you are the originator of any of these practices, I applaud and thank you. If you have your own Golden Nugget, I encourage you to contribute it so that all may benefit from your innovation.
